    Hello,
I've been searching for many many hours now on this topic and have found no help.
I have always had difficulty with the registration page (months now).
It used to be very jumbled and not formatted correctly. It also wouldn't show additional fields created.
Now since the buddypress 2.0 upgrade, there is no registration at all.

I'm using a child theme and have not modified the original Solitude theme files that I'm aware of.
I am running buddypress and bbpress latest versions.
I've tried re-installing WP, disabling all plug-ins , then re-installing only buddypress and bbpress, and still nothing works.

I would be very greatful if someone could help me resolve this.

    Thanks very much,

    Zen

Where did you get the buddypress 2.0 version?
    Official site states version 1.5.

Did you update Solitude buddypress theme to version 3.17.14?
Should work flawless if you use a solitude child theme.

Sorry, it was BBpress 2.0, and Buddypress 1.5.
I have Solitude version 3.17.7, could this be the problem?
Also, is there an easy way to check for updates? Do I download the latest version and upload as a zip file, or is there a quicker way to update the theme that's already running?

I love your design skills! Thanks so much for making this theme available and for your help.

I upgraded, but now everything is messed up. I tweaked a lot of the layout and formatting, but I guess since the original formatting and layout has changed in the Solitude theme, it's obvious I did not do it correctly... :(

I'll try and figure it out, but any help would be appreciated.

The "letting", I believe it's called, is too tight on the titles. How can I adjust this so that it is easier to read?

I still haven't decided on a theme, but pretty frustrated because I'm unable to fix the registration issue no matter what I try.
I've tried several different themes, deactivating all plugins except buddypress, etc, etc. Still no registration/ sign-up.

Within WP dashboard, where it asks to associate WP pages with BP pages, there is nothing under the dropdown box for registration... I click on "new page", but it only comes up with a blank sheet without the necessary integrated form setup. I assume there must be a registration page somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Please help.

I still have the issue with the titles spacing being too tight between letters and between lines, this makes it sometimes very hard to read. How can I adjust this?

I actually like the Solitude .7 version better than .14, is there a way for me to keep the layout and design of the older version and still update everything else?

Thanks very much for your help!

    Did you open registration?
    It's under
    settings>>general>>new user default role>>member

Follow this steps to remain with your custom solitude theme

Thanks for the replies. I had opened registration and set default to subscriber, but nothing worked. I decided to switch to Detox theme and am finding I like it so much better, and the registration works!
I did follow your suggestion for the "one-click child theme" plugin, which made the whole process much easier.
Thanks again for your great theme designs!
