   hi Milo, hi all, I will try to use the beautiful New Yorker Buddypress theme, but in the admin panel, Buddypress settings, I got this warning:
   "Your currently active theme is not BuddyPress enabled."
   And:
   "Visit http://buddypress.org/extend/themes/ to browse themes that include support for BuddyPress features."

   :-(
   I'm very sad! sigh sigh sigh! your theme is beautiful and I've activated in the panel.
   I'm on a fresh installed wpmu 2.8.5.2 and buddypress 1.1.2

   Can you please help me to understand? thank you so much and sorry for my "english"...

   Looks like a wpmu bug,
   have newyorker running on a wpmu 2.8.5.2 version, same error message, but the newyorker theme works without flaws.

   Also post your url, so testing is possible.

   i've installed here:

   the site is empty but I've activated some widgets and they appear only with the buddypress default theme... not with new yorker. :(

   Buddypress widgets are there:
   in the middle and right column,
   you can also add them in the footer to work with.

   Newyorker is not concipated like the usual bp theme, this way it will work different.

   I'm sorry, milo, I don't understand very well...
   here (I try to post the links with BBcode) two screen capture of my homepage, one with newyorker and nothing in;
   one with bp default theme with the widgets...

   so is it normal?

   The top part of newyorker is for posts and images attached to the posts, you need about 5 or 6 test posts, then the slider et al will work.
