Thanks, milo. I have a temp site running at 174.142.71.219/

It's fairly bare bones for now. The phantom admin bar sometimes appears unstyled, and sometimes the ajax loads so I get a nice dropdown, but it's -always at the very bottom of the page, below the footer.

First you might try to rename the theme to its original name (or any other you like), as WordPress has issues on some hosts with spacing in theme names, ie this
    original_theme-INES.
Second copy the admin bar css (ines/_inc/css/adminbar.css) files into the main stylesheet and adjust to your likings.

Thanks for the help, but this doesn't seem to fix my problem entirely. Admin bar is now there on the front-end but it still gets called after every single bit of code and content in the footer, and the admin bar in the actual back-end admin area doesn't work at all; the script never loads and it just appears as one unordered list after the rest of the content, at the bottom of the admin pages.

EDIT: All right, never mind that bottom of the content gripe. I just checked and apparently wp_footer is the call that the admin bar is attached to. So that's dandy. However, no matter what style I change, the admin bar still reminds broken in the back-end.

    Perfect,
actually I've done this ( lines from inc/control.php ) to provide my own buddypress dropdown menue, which will come in a later version to all my bp themes.

    hello milo

I still have some problem that I am not able to resolved, in fact I have spoken to cl1n1c4lb34r, it seem that his site is working probably. however I am not sure what is wrong with my as the new users are not able to activate their account.

    my link is travelores.com

Perhaps it is something wrong with my settings or is there something I need to talk to my host about?

    Thanks

    What host is it running?
    Which wpmu version?
    Which bp version?
    Error message (detailed)?
Do your user get a mail with a nonced link?
    Checked users in wpmu backend?
    Defined roles for new users?

My host is bluehost, the recommended host by wordpress

    WPMU 2.8.6

    Buddy Press 1.1.2

There is no error message, the message I got after I sign up is
"Congratulations! Your new blog, travel planet, is almost ready.
But, before you can start using your blog, you must activate it.
Check your inbox at XXX@gmail.com and click the link given. It should arrive within 30 minutes.
If you do not activate your blog within two days, you will have to sign up again.
    Still waiting for your email?
If you haven't received your email yet, there are a number of things you can do:
Wait a little longer. Sometimes delivery of email can be delayed by processes outside of our control.
Check the junk email or spam folder of your email client. Sometime emails wind up there by mistake.
Have you entered your email correctly? We think it's XXX@gmail.com but if you've entered it incorrectly, you won't receive it."

how do I check wpmu backend? What do I do?

    Roles are subscribers

Go to users in wpmu backend and check if each user is added and how,
click edit to see the info related to each user.

Seems like wpmu is not sending the mail correctly, that might be caused by permissions failure, I suggest to contact your host and ask for an answer and help.

    Hi again Milo! :)

I decided to keep the top panel you created with the Ines theme. (inc/panel.php)

My only gripe now is that the link to open the panel (Dashboard when logged in and Log in when not) disappears once the panel has been closed once. The list item id #toggle is probably the one that calls the script to pop-up the panel, but I can't find any reference to this action in the .js files. Any ideas? I'd like the link to open the Dashboard to remain even after a user has opened it up once then clicked "Close".

    Viewable here -> http://174.142.71.219/

    Thanks again. :)

I'm sorry? There is no mention anywhere in either the FAQ or download page about not removing the credit line when developing from one of your themes. As far as I can tell in the original package I downloaded, there is no ReadMe.txt file where such info could be located.

A simple line somewhere would've have sufficed. I didn't see that info anywhere, so I assumed it was all right to remove the credit line. (which I don't even remember actually seeing... must've been in the footer. I didn't want so much white space down there, so I scrapped a great big chunk out of it.)

I understand you're providing these base themes free of charge and that you're not getting paid for the support you offer us on this forum. Sorry if I offended you, but there you go.

Yeah. In future, you might want to consider moving some of that to a slightly more obvious place. Just saying. Like, the download page or a readme within downloaded files.

    It's very easy:
people should read what, where and under which conditions any foreign work is downloaded.

    Hi Milo,

I am very please that I found you theme Ines it is very-very nice looking, but since I found it I do not sleep trying to fix everything. I do not have all necessary knowledge that is why I writing to you.
Here is a list of issues.
    1. When I go to user's page like blog.magicwish.ru/members/sergei/ I am forwarded to home page. So I assume something i missing at user's activity page
2.Mention this User link doesn't work from user's profile
    3. In almost all registration/creation forms there is a problem with intervals and lines like here blog.magicwish.ru/groups/create/step/group-details/ there is no space between 4 steps and "* Group Name (обязательно)" should be at the next line
    4. Footer. Under list of popular post there is a link Read on which always goes to domain.com/blog/1970/01/01/
    5. When I install plugins GIFTS and ACHIEVMENTS, on the page of the plugin in profile bar disappearing and footer become narrower, navigation bar for profile disappearing

Hope you can give me an advise on how or where to translate the date that appers on the top of all pages

I am using WordPress 3.0.1., Buddypress 1.2.5.2, Hosting Hostmonster.

    Before starting to post here,
add min 8 posts to your empty install,
    same with groups and members,
how should any bp theme work w/o any test content?

Did you install BuddyPress correct on a subdmonain?
Note that bp has several rules if installed on a subdomain.

Hello, Milo. Thank you for sharing this theme... it looks amazing.

I know you updated ines 10 months ago but I am wondering if we can download the previous version anywhere? When doing a search for buddypress themes, all of the sites (including your own) show thumbnails with an appearance/layout that is different from what is available through the current download. Not sure of what exactly you changed in the new version VS the old version but I like the layout and the color scheme of the previous version, and frankly, I don't have the talent to modify the existing files to get it to look remotely like the previous version. Anyways, let me know. Thank you!
