   Hi,

   I was wondering if you could provide an easy way to create a template without the first 2 sidebars on top. I am trying to fit a forum in on a page but the sidebars are using up real-estate. I've tried modifying the 404 template to no avail.
   The bottom widget areas can stay, just looking to remove blog bar 1 & 2

   Use the page template, download the page php to your hd, rename it to forum.php
   insert this part before the header call like so:

   <?php
   /*
   Template Name: forum Template
   */
   ?>

   save and upload to theme files,
   go for wp edit page, select forum page, then in right sidebar select your new forum template.
