I want an 'if' statement in line 34 in featured.php, where it says how many words' og excerpt to display. If there is a thumbnaiil (featured image), I want 30 words for instance, and if not, then 50 words. As you already stated, this has nothing to do with Thematic or BT Extended. Both themes do not use the mentioned function. And this function is not even listed in the WP core. The only thing I can suggest is to delete Thematic and BT Extended, get a fresh copy of <a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/thematic">Thematic</a> and a fresh copy of <a href="http://3oneseven.com/18/blogging-times-version2-wordpress-theme/">BT Extended</a>, install Thematic and install BT Extended. Just in case .. make sure that you have a backup in place!
